Size Guide

Find a fit you feel good in

Sizes can vary between styles. Always use the size chart on the product page instead of relying on the size you usually wear.

Measure a favorite garment

  1. Choose a similar top that fits comfortably and lay it flat without stretching.
  2. Measure its width from side to side just below the armholes.
  3. Measure its length from the highest shoulder point to the bottom hem.
  4. Compare those measurements with the chart for the style you want to order.

Body and garment measurements

Body measurements describe you; garment measurements describe the clothing. A flat shirt width is not your bust measurement. Leave room for the fit you enjoy and follow the measuring instructions beside each chart.

Read the units and chart labels

Our featured clothing charts use inches (in). If your tape uses centimeters, divide by 2.54 to convert to inches. For example, 101.6 cm equals 40 in.

Compare like with like: a flat width of 20 in is approximately 40 in around the garment. Only double a measurement when the chart specifically calls for a circumference; do not double a bust or waist value that is already measured around.

Choosing a top, layer or matching set

  • Tops: check bust room and garment length, not just the letter size.
  • Cardigans and shirts: compare with a layer that fits comfortably over the clothes you plan to wear underneath.
  • Matching sets: check the top and pants separately. Bust, waist, hips and length all matter when both pieces come in one size.

Do not assume an S, M or XL matches another brand's US number size. Use a numeric conversion only when it is supplied for that exact product. If the chart does not explain a measurement, ask us before ordering.

Between sizes?

Compare both sizes with your favorite garment. Check the fabric and stretch notes before choosing. A relaxed cut still needs the right size.
